P1 GLORY FOR JAKE JORDAN MICALLEF IN ROUND 2 OF THE MINI GR3 CHAMPIONSHIP

Jake Jordan Micallef delivered a sensational performance in Round 2 of the Mini GR3 Championship, storming from ninth in qualifying to claim an unforgettable victory in the final.

After a challenging qualifying session that left him starting P9 out of 16 karts, Micallef immediately showed his race pace in the prefinal, charging through the field to finish second. That momentum carried into the final, where a determined and controlled drive saw him complete a remarkable comeback to take P1 and the top step of the podium.

The victory was the result of a strong team effort behind the scenes. Micallef was supported by Italian mechanic Massimo Olivieri and Maltese mechanic Norbert Valletta, with engine tuning handled by Aldo Vella. He also paid tribute to Luke Muscat for his continued belief, and to Eman Muscat for unwavering support throughout the weekend.

Micallef also acknowledged the crucial role played by his equipment suppliers, thanking LKE Engines and Monster K Chassis for providing top-level machinery.

Off the track, he expressed gratitude to his sponsors Veggiesandfruit, Fort Fitness, and his personal coach Maximus for ensuring he was physically prepared for the demands of race day.
