Marsaxlokk FC Release Statement After Controversial FVS Decision In Finalissima

Marsaxlokk FC have sent a protest to the Malta Football Association regarding Floriana's controversial goal in the dying minutes of last Saturday's finalissima.
The club stated that by allowing Floriana's controversial goal, which awarded the greens the league title, the decision went directly against IFAB Law 15, which states that "A goal cannot be scored directly from a throw-in: if the ball eneters the opponents' goal - a goal kick is awarded."
Marsaxlokk FC remarked that the championship was decided through sportive injustice and rule breaking, as referee Matthew Degabriele's decision has quickly become the main talking point among Maltese football fans.
Marsaxlokk FC thanked its fans for thier constant support and requested that all discussions regarding the controversial matter remain serene and respectful.
