Maltese Ambassador Visits U21 National Team Ahead of Tough Greece Clash

Maltese Ambassador to Greece, Joseph Cuschieri, paid a courtesy visit to Malta’s Under‑21 national team in Livadia ahead of their challenging fixture against the strong Greek side. His visit offered encouragement and support as the young squad prepared for one of the toughest matches in their qualifying campaign.
Despite Malta’s 5–0 defeat, Ambassador Cuschieri praised the players’ commitment, highlighting their determination and professionalism throughout the encounter. He emphasised the importance of gaining experience at this level and expressed confidence that the team will continue to grow stronger as the competition progresses.
Cuschieri also extended his best wishes to the squad for the remaining matches, urging them to stay focused and motivated as they continue representing Malta on the international stage.
The U21 national team will now shift their attention to their next away fixture, scheduled for Tuesday, 31 March, where they will face Georgia. The match presents another demanding challenge, but the team remains committed to improving and delivering stronger performances as the campaign unfolds.
