Gabriel Farrugia moved one step closer to securing his first Road Running League title with a commanding victory in the 10k Beat Your PB Race held in Ta’ Xbiex. The Żurrieq runner controlled the race from the start, crossing the line in an impressive 30:14 — a time that also set another national Under‑23 record. Pembroke’s Mark Herrera followed in 32:49, while Jean Claude Rondon of Żurrieq completed the podium in 33:09.

In the women’s race, Pembroke’s Lisa Bezzina made a strong return to winning ways, finishing in 37:55. Żurrieq’s Isaura Camilleri continued her excellent season with second place in 38:09, and Monalisa Camilleri of Libertas AC secured third in 39:59.

With two races remaining, Farrugia holds a comfortable lead in the men’s league ahead of Aidan Tanti and Charlton Debono. Among the women, Roberta Schembri remains on track for the title, with Isaura Camilleri moving up to second.

In the club standings, Żurrieq Wolves extend their advantage, while Mellieħa AC climb to second. The league concludes with two 5k races on 19 April in Ta’ Qali and 3 May from Sliema to Pietà.
