Clayton Abela Shatters Records in Relentless Weekend of Competition

In a display of endurance and competitive grit, local athlete Clayton Abela delivered a standout performance at the Club Attempt League over the weekend, completing three demanding races in just two days and walking away with two victories and a new course record.

The action began early Saturday, when Abela teamed up with Luke Pace for a high‑intensity race that saw the pair storm across the finish line in 49:36 the fastest time ever recorded for the event. Their effort set the tone for what would become a remarkable weekend.

On Sunday, Abela returned to competition for his first‑ever solo HYROX attempt. Despite the unfamiliar format, he powered through the gruelling combination of running and functional fitness stations to finish in 57:22, securing 1st place and marking an impressive debut.

Not content with two races, Abela later joined teammates Dalton, Jimmy and Barton for the team relay. The quartet delivered a sharp and coordinated performance, clocking 49:48 and earning another 1st‑place finish.
