Two Elderly Women Injured In Traffic Accident After Crash In Għasri

Earlier today, two elderly persons were injured in a traffic accident in Triq iż-Żebbuġ, Għasri.
The accident happened at around 1100hrs, when a Mazda Demio, driven by a 72 year old woman, resident of ż-Żebbuġ, crashed into a wall and a light pole.
Riding passenger in the car was another woman aged 71 years old. A medical team and Civil Protection Department were called onto the site.
The two women were given medical assistance and transported to the Gozo General Hospital.
The 71 year old was confirmed to have suffered grievous injuries, whereas the other woman suffered light injuries.
Investigations are still ongoing.
