Tributes Pour In After Maestro Aurelio Belli's Passing

Tributes have been pouring in for the late Maestro Aurelio Belli, who passed away this weekend at the age of 49.
Belli was a respected conductor, educator and influential figure in the island’s music, band and orchestral scene.
Prime Minister Robert Abela and Lydia Abela described him as the definition of courage and resilience.
‘Despite difficulties, he was always positive’, wrote the Abelas. ‘He fought with all his strength. He continued to use his artistic talents for the Maltese and Gozitan people.’
On his part, Opposition leader Alex Borg described him as a source of inspiration, ‘both through his music but also through his ability to never give up during difficult moments.’
Mużika Mużika and Festivals Malta also paid their respects, describing Belli as an ‘extraordinary person who left his unforgettable mark.’
