Ċittadella Cathedral Comes Alive During Lejl Imkebbes Telling Malta’s Story

Lejl Imkebbes returned for a special Easter edition, transforming the historic surroundings of Ċittadella, Gozo into a magical candle-lit experience.
Visitors were welcomed with live entertainment, historical re-enactments, immersive areas, open museums, and other installations.
Among them was the facade of the Ċittadella itself, which gave a history of Malta display through a bespoke projection mapping experience.
Unfortunately, due to the increasing winds, the lighting of candles and maintaining of them was cancelled.
Despite the setback, the visitors were still welcomed by a plethora of activities for another successful edition of the event.
