€1 Million Investment Transforms St Thomas More College ALP Hall

The refurbishment of the hall at St Thomas More College ALP in Paola represents a major investment in educational infrastructure designed to meet modern standards. With funding exceeding €1 million, the project has transformed the space into a multifunctional hall suitable for educational, cultural and community use.
Minister for Education, Sport, Youth, Research and Innovation Clifton Grima said the Government is continuing to invest in both new schools and the upgrading of existing facilities to better reflect today’s educational needs. He noted that this project provides a modern space that will benefit students and educators alike.
The works included structural reinforcement and the upgrading of internal and surrounding areas. A new sound system was installed together with advanced acoustic treatment, allowing the hall to host musical performances, theatrical productions and multimedia presentations more effectively.

Additional improvements included the installation of a full air conditioning system, replacing the previous lack of climate control, as well as a complete overhaul of lighting systems. This included professional stage lighting and energy efficient LED fixtures to reduce consumption.
The hall was further enhanced with a cyclorama wall and a high quality projection system using modern technology. Backstage areas were redesigned to provide more space, including larger changing rooms and improved sanitary facilities.
The entrance and courtyard were also refurbished, while the façade and surrounding external areas were upgraded, creating a more welcoming and functional environment for the school community.
