DPM Ian Borg Takes On Fast Ferry Recommendations By Young Gozitan Speaker

In a social media post, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism & Foreign Affairs Ian Borg shared the moment he contacted a young speaker, Sarah, who raised awareness on the Fast Ferry’s demands.

The young Gozitan speaker raised the issue at the opening of the 2026 Labour Party Congress in Gozo, highlighting how despite the efficiency, the amount of users of the service sometimes leads to many not managing to board.

Borg said that this is a legitimate concern, giving us a glimpse into his conversations with Sarah and how the issue pertains to priority/guaranteed boarding for Gozitan residents.

The DPM, who had worked on the Gozo Fast Ferry service when he was still Transport Minister, said that he was content to hear such recommendations being made and that it’s a concern that can be tangibly addressed.
