Three key sites will open their doors for the occasion, namely Fort St Angelo, Inquisitor’s Palace and, for the first time, St Lawrence Church and Museum, all illuminated by 15,000 candles.

Visitors can enjoy a unique atmosphere enhanced by live music, artisan stalls and historical re-enactments that bring the past to life.

At Fort St Angelo, visitors can explore centuries of Maltese history, from its medieval origins to its important role during the Great Siege of 1565, while taking in views of the Grand Harbour.

A traditional In Guardia march will begin at 19:00, passing through Birgu before reaching the fort, where re-enactors will remain stationed throughout the evening.

The Inquisitor’s Palace offers a contrast between elegant living quarters and the more austere tribunal and prison areas, alongside artefacts from the National Textiles Collection.
